What security leaders say about Zero Trust and new phishing threats

“Leverage Zero Trust to Combat Multichannel Phishing Threats,” a study conducted by Forrester Consulting commissioned by Cloudflare, explores the relevance of applying Zero Trust to defend against modern phishing threats.

The global survey of 316 security decision-makers found that while businesses are largely unprepared for phishing threats that span multiple channels, platforms supporting Zero Trust approaches enable organizations to decrease risk and improve business continuity in the face of growing threats.

For example:
- 90% believe the scope of phishing threats is expanding — 4 out of 5 have faced a multichannel attack in the last 12 months
- The majority (59%) have experienced phishing attacks in the last 12 months that have led to a significant-to-crippling impact on the business
- 89% believe that platforms that enable a Zero Trust approach are effective at preventing phishing threats
